My Self and Other series combines the element of the abstract with the identifiable form of a human in relation to another human. Of recent, as a result of death or separation, I experienced losses in my key relationships.  My grief opened doors for growth and change. Through separation of self from other, I look at my own existence, and seek to understand what it means to be in relation to another. To embrace or let go of another is an act of courage that defines the human condition.
